Just sent the final artwork for Austin band Burgess Meredith’s debut album over to the printer! Here’s a sneak peak at the cover. The album will be out in April, y’all!
SXSW 2012 was super rad. At one point, I managed to snag a photo with Bill Murray while drunk at 24 Diner with my friend Cassandra. He was with three of the squarest looking chicks in town and apparently on the rebound. Looking back, I wish we’d stolen him from them and turned the party ship around.

oh snap! austin chronicle’s music staff just released their top ten albums lists – i’ve had the pleasure of designing cover art for some of the killer albums on this list:
Suzanna Choffel’s ‘Steady Eye Shaky Bow’
Golden Bear’s ‘Alive’
Leatherbag’s ‘Yellow Television’
thanks so much for letting me be a part of your projects! ♥

here’s a little teaser snippet of the project i’m wrapping up for local rockers the boxing lesson. you can digitally download their new single from their website, or pick up the 7″ when it comes out in february!
happy new year!
my work playlist is pretty saturated with bon iver as it is, but the track ‘holocene’ off of his newest, self-titled album just destroys it for me. now that there’s a video out for the song, my desire to move to a small fishing village in some nordic country has become even more pressing.
feast your ears and eyes, babes:
four days later, i finally feel recovered from fff fest weekend. it was my first two days off in a row since january and it was so worth it! so many killer shows, including my first live m83 show – which i have waited years for. can i just say that anthony gonzalez is a super fox!
so for all of you austinites, get excited about barbarella’s 2-year anniversary later this month! it’s hard to believe it’s been two years – seems like yesterday i was dancing to rod stewart’s ‘young turks’ alone on the dance floor during their second week open. they’ve since moved into the much larger venue next door and partnered with east side showroom on creating the swan dive in the original location. here’s our gigposter for the event – i hope you all are off that night and can squeeze into the place. it’s gonna be bananas!
here’s a little something i put together for bright light social hour for their gig in lubbock (it’s tonight). this one is missing the details, but i prefer it with no info. defeats the purpose, i know – but i love the background texture.
one other thing, before i sign off – i’ve just started the ball rolling on an awesome line of merch (the line is called Tillman, after my dad). Get ready for some hip graphic duds a la one of your favourite rock and roll graphic artists. i’ll keep you posted lovies. muah muah!
hey kids! get ready for the long-awaited release of golden bear‘s new album ‘alive’, which comes out this month. this little lady had the honor of putting together the album artwork for it (based on some photos they shot in zilker park). it was an inspiring process working with lead singer chris gregory to push the possibilities of the design – eschewing the standard photo treatment for something more graphic and iconic. i also want to mention that the album was produced by the mastermind danny reisch, who has worked with the likes of shearwater, white denim and the black and white years.
you can check out a review and a video of the band here. if you’re in the austin area, come by club deville on october 29th for the official cd release party. see you there, lovers!
